I was born and raised in a small town in Central
Hungary.  After graduating from a Hungarian
culinary institute and serving in the Army I packed
my bags and moved to London.  Scott and I met while
I was in England working for a fine foods distributor.
Soon after, we decided to move to America to pursue
our interests.  We lived in the "Little Italy" of Boston
and while there I enrolled in a university to study
economics and geography.  Luckily, I was also able
to satisfy my passion for design and architecture by
working for an incredibly talented designer.  About
three years ago we decided we wanted to open our
own B&B for gay travelers and our community's
straight friends.  We love to travel and we have stayed in a variety of hotels and inns around
the world.  Many times we have been unsatisfied with B&Bs and inns because often they charge
high rates, while offering little in return.  I have always loved my capital city so in 2005 we
returned here to pursue our dream.  I worked for the InterContinental Hotel Budapest as a
Corporate Sales Executive while we searched for the perfect location for Kapital Inn.  We think
you will be impressed with the result.

I too was born and raised in a small town, but in
the USA.  My dear grandmother came from Italy
so I grew up in an ethnic Italian-American family
with an Irish last name!  My mother was a
drama teacher (among many other pursuits) so
our household was quite unique and interesting.
I left home at 18 to study political science in
college and graduate school in America, Scotland
and England.  As a result, over the past 16 years
I have lived in five different countries.  In between
my studies I worked as the Director of Operations
at a small computer software and communications
firm. After completing my education (finally!) I taught politics at four different universities in
England and America.  However, my favorite job was helping to raise my two nieces and two
nephews while we lived in Boston.  Now I have fallen in love with Budapest and I think Kapital
Inn is something quite special.  We hope you enjoy all we have to offer.
